UBC explores and exemplifies all aspects of economic, social and environmental sustainability. The foundations of our efforts are the numerous plans that reflect the University’s vision and guide our sustainability activities—as well as allow us to celebrate successes and share lessons learned.

	Climate Action Plan The UBC Climate Action Plan identifies the University’s aggressive Greenhouse Gas emissions reduction targets and strategies, to guide the Vancouver campus in its ongoing transition toward a low carbon future.   Download the PDF. 	Sustainability Academic Strategy Created through a collaborative process to inform the UBC strategic planning process, this document provides recommendations around specific academic themes and guides the work of the USI.   Download the PDF.

REPORTING

	External Benchmarks UBC participates in two external rating systems, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS) and the College Sustainability Report Card administered by the Sustainability Endowments Institute (SEI). Both programs are voluntary, self-reporting frameworks for colleges and universities to gauge and report their progress toward sustainability.   Visit the External Benchmarks page.

	Inspirations and Aspirations: UBC Sustainability Strategy 2006-2010 This strategy, produced in consultation with over 20 UBC departments, all 12 faculties and all major student organization at UBC Vancouver, provided a framework and identified major goals, objectives and targets for sustainability at UBC.   Download the PDF.
