From its inception in 1916, UBC Botanical Garden has been involved with the study and appreciation of the native plant species of British Columbia. Join Daniel Mosquin, the Garden's Research Manager, for an examination of the history of native plant research and education programs at UBC Botanical Garden, spanning from the early days to present efforts. A tour will follow the lecture, weather permitting. Speaker:Daniel Mosquin, UBC Botanical Garden Education and Technology Manager Daniel Mosquin is UBC Botanical Garden’s Education and Technology Manager. He is a naturalist and photographer who frequently travels western North America to observe & photograph biodiversity. Since April of 2005, he has been the editor (and often the author and/or photographer) of UBC Botanical Garden’s Botany Photo of the Day. Please Note: Coffee and tea will be offered.
