A growing number of provincial initiatives aim to advance sustainability education in British Columbia's colleges and universities. The following opportunities and resources are available to UBC educators interested in integrating or enhancing sustainability in their classrooms and co-curricular activities.
Sustainability Education Across the Province (SEAP-BC) is a 3 day short course that aims to build the capacity of BC’s colleges and universities to integrate sustainability into curriculum. Faculty and other campus stakeholders who attend will be prepared to deliver workshops to their colleagues, as well as gain the tools they need to build a community of practice and provide continued support. The second annual SEAP workshop took place in May of 2011.

The BC Sustainability Education Network (also known as walkingthetalk) is a social network for individuals, organizations and government to collaborate in order to move sustainability education forward in British Columbia.
Interested in CityStudio next September (Fall 2012)? CityStudio seeks 20 students who are passionate about sustainability and ready to immerse themselves in a challenging and collaborative learning environment based in dialogue + design. goBEYOND has organized three provincial Teach-Ins to date, engaging over 500 faculty and 25,000 students across the province in dialogue on how their disciplines can contribute to creating solutions to climate change and climate justice. The goBeyond Youth Action Gathering (YAG) is a week-long, peer-to-peer program led by BC's top youth organizers. This training camp brings together 40 youth from the ages of 14-30 to develop grassroots organizing and leadership skills, network and bond with fellow students, engage in fun activities in the great outdoors and enjoy great cooking! The YAG happens every year at the end of August.
