Critique of the role journalism and news coverage have played in major social change movements in Canada and internationally. How journalism has catalyzed, promoted, misrepresented, or undermined social change through news reporting. Prerequisite: JRNL_V 200 or JRNL_V 201.

Historical and contemporary issues in Canada that shape Indigenous sport and physical activity, health programs, and policies. [3-0] Prerequisite: All of KIN 160, KIN 262.

Exploring the physiological and biochemical changes that occur in skeletal muscle, adipose tissue, and liver following exercise. Interactions between exercise, nutrition, and commonly prescribed medications used for the treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular disease will also be examined. [3-0]

Examining the influence of psychological factors across different settings and populations, with a particular focus on interventions aimed at enhancing mental health.
