The Climate Teaching Connector (CTC) provides a flexible opportunity for integrating climate-related content into undergraduate curricula by connecting course instructors with graduate level climate experts from a variety of disciplines. This program is free for instructors as participating graduate students are paid directly by the program. Since its launch, CTC has successfully facilitated 70+ guest lectures spanning 36 academic departments, reaching over 3,700 students with vital climate knowledge. As part of UBC's commitment to sustainability education, CTC represents a practical, scalable model for transforming how climate concepts are taught across diverse fields of study.
The Climate Teaching Connector will be receiving applications in the fall of 2025. We are currently in the process of identifying themes and graduate student experts for the school year. If you are a faculty member interested in hosting a guest speaker this year, please take five minutes to respond to the short survey below to help us understand how the program might best support you and so we can contact you once we are ready to launch the program.
