Tuesday, March 29, 2022 - 16:00 to 17:30

Join us for informal conversations about climate change and how we are experiencing it at the UBC Climate Café.

Tuesday, March 29, 2022
4:00 - 5:30 pm

LOCATION: Rooftop of the AMS Nest! (outdoor space protected from potential rain).

Register

Coffee and treats will be provided. Please bring your own mug and eating utensils.

This is an informal empathetic space where students can build hope and a community, form ally-ships, and safely share uncertainties about the climate crisis. If any of these reasons resonate with you, please drop by!

  • You are worried about climate change, and how it will impact our lives and the rest of the globe, including vulnerable populations;
  • You are not sure how to talk about your concerns, or who to talk to;
  • You are wondering what action you can take to impact climate change;
  • You are curious, or like talking about electric cars, heat pumps, solar panels, cycling, reducing meat/dairy consumption, or limiting air travel;
  • You are wondering what (if anything) is happening in our community at UBC to make a difference around climate change; and/or
  • You want to express your feelings and concerns about the climate with like-minded people.

Hosted in partnership with the UBC Climate Hub and the Sustainability Hub.
