This course is part of the UBC Future Global Leaders Pre-University Program for high school students ages 15-18, and is offered at UBC Vancouver. This program offers the option to stay in a UBC student residence during the program or commute daily.

Get a broad understanding of business by exploring important core functions – finance, accounting, marketing, human resources management and strategic decision-making. By the end of the course, you’ll have a good understanding of the “big picture” of the field of business, and how the different functions integrate to help with strategic decision-making. You’ll also come away with tools, skills and insights into what makes great companies thrive amidst heavy competition.

Your instructor
CONOR TOPLEY, BCom, is an instructor at the UBC Sauder School of Business where he teaches courses on business fundamentals and career preparation. He brings with him a diverse background in sales, marketing and operations having worked for organizations that include Apple, PwC and Unilever.
