The Student Sustainability Council provides feedback to university groups on sustainability-related issues and concerns, and presents an opportunity for student leaders to have a voice on academic and campus projects.

The council attracts a diverse range of student leaders to create a space for inclusive discussions and meaningful student engagement on sustainability projects, programs, and initiatives. The council also provides a space for student groups to connect and collaborate with others to enrich their own initiatives.

With more than 70 sustainability student-led groups and organizations at UBC, we’d like to extend an invitation to your group to select a representative to join the Council.

Interesting in joining?

Take the first step, and reach out to Tim Herron, Events and Engagement Manager, Sustainability Hub to learn how your group could get involved. Email tsherron@mail.ubc.ca

Each group is limited to one seat on the Council but the role and attendance at the meetings can be shared between two reps.
